Let's Made yours FingerNails more Colourful

Today quite boring @@ dunnoe what to do, so just stay at house. Haizz. (Help me!!!!! Is bored). Due to the situation that nothing to do, so I plan to ‘disturb’ my mom. Hehe. But my ‘evil plan’ fail because my mom seems like has 6th sense, she can sense that I wan to ‘kacau’ her from taking a nice afternoon nap. So when I get near her, she gave me a magazine and ask me go sofa there and read (better than nothing to do). When I lay down on my sofa n try to read the magazine, one of the pages attract my attention that is Nail Art. Nail art had become quite popular in our society today, it is the painting decorative that designs on our fingernails, is a fun way to brighten up our everyday look or act as accessorize a special occasion outfit. When I look at the picture there and look back my finger nails (OMG!!! Macam satu langit, satu darat o --> it means cant compared :S) I realize that I quite long time dint remove my nail polish n my nail color start to ‘vanish’ and some of the fingernails still left with little nail polish (=.= it is so untidy and not nice, almost no eyes see). I faster go to my room and starts find the nail polish remover. When I remove the nail polish, I wonder why this liquid can remove those ‘color’ so I take a look at the bottle and it label there one of the ingredients is acetone.

There are so many designed can put on the fingernails. Soooo Lovely !!!

So what is Acetone actually?

Acetone is an organic compound with the formula CH3COCH3. This colorless, mobile, flammable liquid is the simplest form of the ketones. The acetone is miscible with water and all organic solvents; it serves as an important solvent typically the solvent of choice for cleaning purposes in the laboratory. The uses of acetone are as the active ingredient in nail polish remover and as paint thinner and sanitary cleaner or nail polish remover base. A nail polish remover having an acetone or ethyl acelate-ethanol base and a hydrolyzed soy protein and surfactant combination as an additive to inhibit the dehydrating characteristics of the remover on the nails and skin of the user.

The molecular formula of acetone

Nail polish actually contains colour molecules that are attached to resin molecules which only dissolve in acetone (not water, oil, or alcohol). (For instance, just think of engine grease: you can't wash it off your hands with plain water because water doesn't dissolve it) The colour resins will dissolve in acetone and when its go on the fingernails, the acetone will evaporates. When we want to wash off the colour resins, we need to get polish remover, which is nearly pure acetone, and it reverses the process. The reason for doing this is because the molecules have more or less static electricity at the end and it look like fitting a key into a lock.
